I strongly believe God’s purpose for me is in the teaching field through many modalities.

Before retiring from teaching elementary school for 30 years, I earned my first Pilates

certification from CP, but realized I needed to learn more. So I earned my second one

from Pilates Sports Center in CA. I absolutely love helping people get stronger by

building lean muscles with an emphasis on the core. God has blessed us with a

beautiful temple, and it is our job to honor his work. My favorite scripture is John 15: 12.

Susan began her Pilates journey a little over 2 years ago after she decided to start

moving her body in a healthy way.  Starting with one class and then celebrating her

100th class she was motivated to join a teacher training program.  Pilates has

completely transformed her life.  It has given her the strength and purpose to tackle the

next thing with confidence.  As a certified instructor, her goal is to help you find that

same connection to your body.  Some of her favorite exercises to teach are Short Box

Abs, Foot Work and Planking.  Susan believes that you are stronger than you know and

class by class she will show you just that.  Whether you are stepping onto  a reformer

for the first time or looking to deepen your mat practice, Susan will work to meet you

where you are.  She is  excited to welcome people into Prayers and Pilates so that they

can discover how strong they really are. When Susan is not in the studio, you can find

her teaching First Grade at Peaster Elementary School and making ceramic fence pots

to sell at craft fairs.

.Carrie has always had a passion for helping others and a love of fitness, so bringing the

two together came naturally. After undergoing a lumbar spinal fusion in 2009, she

realized she needed to make meaningful changes in her own life. When she later

stepped away from the corporate world, Carrie began a personal journey toward

healing—spirit, soul, and body.

Her fitness journey has taken her from cheerleading to becoming a Body-for-LIFE

contender, losing 100 pounds, and competing nationally as an NPC figure competitor.

Inspired by her own transformation, Carrie earned her Personal Trainer Certification

through the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA), followed by her Club

Pilates Comprehensive Instructor Certification.

Through Pilates, Carrie has found a community she truly loves and the opportunity to

come alongside others in an entirely new way. She enjoys serving, learning, building

meaningful relationships, and creating movement flows that challenge the body to

remain strong while honoring its individual needs and limitations.

Carrie believes that having a supportive community to lean on through every season of

life is one of life’s greatest gifts. Above all, she is deeply grateful for her husband, Wes,

and their three beautiful daughters, Schylar, Hannah, and Zaniah. They have made her

life incredibly rich, and she thanks God for them—and for her Pilates family!

Gigi brings a unique blend of clinical insight and mindful movement to the studio,

drawing from her rewarding former career in the healthcare industry. Recently retired,

Gladys pivoted to teaching to seamlessly continue her lifelong dedication to improving

clients' quality of life. She connects effortlessly with a wide audience by offering

instruction in both English and Spanish. Combining her deep personal practice of over

nine years with a Comprehensive Pilates certification and a TRX certification, she crafts

inclusive, purposeful workouts. Gladys ensures every student is safely challenged and

empowered, leaving the studio feeling physically confident, re-energized, and better

than when they walked through the door.

Ellen discovered Pilates during a season of healing and experienced how God can use

movement to restore strength, confidence, and connection to the body. What began as

a personal journey became a calling she believes God placed on her heart—to serve

others through movement, encouragement, and compassion. She believes caring for

our bodies is an act of gratitude and stewardship, and she is passionate about creating

a welcoming space where people can grow stronger, feel restored, and experience

God’s goodness in the process.

In the summer of 2020, Kristina discovered Pilates and immediately fell in love. The

movements felt like a beautiful dance or an art form that challenges the core, quiets the

mind, and leaves her feeling stronger and more centered. Turning that passion into

teaching others has been a true gift from the Lord.

Kristina’s engineering degree from Texas Tech (Wreck ’Em!) gives her a unique lens in

the studio. She brings the same attention to detail and understanding of forces and

body mechanics to every cue, helping clients move with precision and purpose. Sharing

the love of Jesus in each class through music and scripture brings deep purpose to her

life. Tower is her favorite class format to teach, and some of her favorite moves are the

teaser, pike, and long spine.

Outside the studio, Kristina loves exploring new places and playing board games with

her husband and kids. She also enjoys the opportunity to homeschool her children.

What she cherishes most is the acceptance and kindness of the Pilates community here

in Parker County. Kristina counts it an honor and a joy to watch people grow stronger

and more confident with every session.

My Pilates journey began three years ago for a very personal reason: my mom. After watching her navigate Parkinson’s, I wanted to find a way to support her journey and help her stay strong, mobile, and connected to her body. What started as a way to help someone I love quickly became a passion of my own.

Over the past three years, Pilates has taught me so much—not just about movement, but about my own body and the incredible things it is capable of.

When I was 17, I was involved in a serious car accident that left me with a broken hip and back. For years afterward, I lived with some level of pain and discomfort. I had learned to accept that pain as something I would simply have to live with. Pilates changed that for me. Through consistent movement, building strength and stability, and learning to truly listen to my body, I have been able to manage my pain in a way I never thought possible. Today, I am able to live with only occasional use of Tylenol, which I consider a huge personal victory.

My faith is also an important part of who I am and why I do what I do. I believe God created our bodies with purpose and that we are capable of amazing things. Pilates has given me a deeper appreciation for that gift and has taught me to be patient with myself, care for my body, and celebrate progress along the way.

Outside of the studio, I am a full-time 6th grade math teacher. Teaching is something I truly love, and I have always found joy in helping people learn, grow, and realize that they are capable of more than they thought. Pilates gives me another opportunity to do that.

I don't teach Pilates because it is my full-time job—I teach because I genuinely love it. I love the way it makes me feel, I love what it has done for my own body, and I love being able to share that experience with others. There is something incredibly rewarding about watching someone walk into a class not feeling their best and leave feeling stronger, more confident, and more connected to their body.
